Rollcage: Extreme
#1
Well, colour me surprised...

That's obviously from early development, but I can't help feeling they should have stuck with the "Extreme" name instead of "Stage 2".

And why did they also release Stage II as "Death Track Racing"? O_o

edit: oh, and looks like I wont be able to visit the forum for the rest of the week...Undecided
Try systemd. They said.
It'll be just as reliable as init. They said.
It'll be completely bug-free. They said.
Our monolithic windows-approach is far superior to the Unix-approach. They said.
Okay, so the codebase has grown gigantic and no one but our paid group of full-time developers who created it can maintain it and fix bugs... but it'll be fine. They said.
Okay, we'll shove it down your throat whether you like it or not. They said.

I guess it's finally time to look into GuixSD and/or devuan.

Code:
systemd-journald(195): Received SIGTERM.
systemd[1]: systemd-udevd.service has no holdoff time, scheduling restart.
systemd[1]: systemd-udevd.service failed to schedule restart job: final.target is queued, ignoring restart request for unit systemd-udevd.service
systemd[1]: Unit systemd-udevd.service entered failed state.

It's just called Stage II here.

I guess they just felt like changing the name of it. But, I recognise the cars and tracks in the video so evidently they didn't really change anything apart from the game.

Yeah, Death track was some weird renamed re-release thing I think: http://www.ign.com/games/death-track-racing/pc-15535
(weirdly, some files in my stage2 install refers to death track racing...)

As for "Rollcage: Extreme" I think it was just a very early name during development (notice how they reused the original title grapics, and that they only show one track).
